about

Hi, I’m Kyle Soller (she/her)

My path to opening this center hasn’t been straight, however the windingness of this path has uniquely positioned me to be the advocate you and your child are looking for. My passion has always been working with children. In high school and college, my jobs ranged from lifeguard, swim teacher, camp counselor, daycare worker, to nanny. As an undergrad at University of Evansville, I graduated with a B.A. in Mass Communications and Interpersonal Communications. I started my career in the advertising and marketing industry. This detour wasn’t all for nothing, as that is where I met my husband. I quickly realized my passion was working with children. I then pursued a M.A.T. in Elementary Education from National-Louis University and received a certificate in Bilingual and Bicultural Education from DePaul University.

After teaching in the Chicago Public Schools, I found my love for informal education while working at Lincoln Park Zoo as an informal educator.  This experience opened my eyes to the vast world of education outside of the formal classroom setting – and saw firsthand the inspiring spark and connection that animals bring out in people. During this part of my path, I became a mother. To say becoming a mother changed my life would be an understatement. I loved the work I was doing, but I knew I needed to find balance between my career and being with my children. I was fortunate enough to find the amazing world of vision therapy and became a Certified Optometric Vision Therapist in 2018. The rigorous certification process helped synthesize my passion for education, my love of helping individuals and the science of how the eyes and brain work together as a team.  As a certified vision therapist, I gained years of invaluable experience working one-on-one with diverse clients of all ages to help them reach many goals.

Then Covid-19 arrived on the scene and the world shut down. I was given yet another chance to evaluate my life and pursue additional passions. As a perpetual learner, always striving for new and better ways to help my clients, I discovered the work of Dr. Svetlana Masgutova and the Masgutova Neurostructural Reflex Integration (MNRI) program, where I am actively completing courses as a Core in Training. I also found the work of Dr. Steven Porges and the Polyvagal Theory. I completed my training and certification with the Safe and Sound Protocol. The pandemic also allowed my family to become a homeschooling family. As a homeschool mom, the power of one-on-one instruction and benefits for a struggling child have never been more clear.

The pandemic uncovered many challenges in our education system, so many of our struggling kids need more interventions to keep up with their peers. I am excited to meet and work with families committed to helping their child reach their full potential.
